Trip Plan

Here is a rough plan of our travels (updated July 26):

June

  • Peninsular Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur, Perhentian Islands, Teman Negara, Melaka, Cameron Highlands

July

  • Hang in Penang for a month in condo 

August 

  • Borneo, including Kuching, Brunei, Kota Kinabalu and of course orangutans
  • Singapore
  • Cambodia, including Phnom Penh, Siem Reap

September

  • Cambodia including Sen Monorom and of course elephants
  • Australia (Melbourne and Tasmania)

October/November/December

  • Australia (Tasmania and Great Ocean Road)
  • Head to South Africa at including Cape Town plus road trip along coast until we hit Durban
  • Zimbabwe including Victoria Falls
  • Ethiopia where we will reacquaint ourselves with the home of our youngest daughter Meskerem

January/February

  • TBD (hopefully still fit in Sri Lanka)

This is just a rough sketch but keep checking back as we will update and summarize what actually ends up happening. Or you can just follow all our blog posts…

  1. Hello! Just found your blog through the Vagabond Family website. We will be travelling in some of the same areas at the same time as you are! We’re leaving in July and starting in Singapore/Malaysia. I look forward to following your adventure too.
